ATTENTION, PARENTS!!SAFETY REMINDER—Some of our parents and friends have been a little lax during traffic circle. Cell phones may NOT be used on the GVCS campus, especially by drivers. Please be slow, attentive to directions given, and keenly aware of other cars and children on foot. Once your child has entered your car, please NOT allow him/her to get out to retrieve an item, unless you have parked against the wall and accompany him/her. Recently, we have had kids almost get hit when they jumped out of a car and ran in the path of traffic. Also, DO NOT drop students off before school on the street. For their protection, you MUST bring your children into the campus, not just send them in. Thanks for your compliance.
TARDIES—Please do your best to arrive on time! When students are late, they miss out on learning. We want our kids to learn lifetime habits that will help them excel in their future. Remember that three tardies during the year will make a student ineligible for the Perfect Attendance Award. (To be excused, you must present a doctor’s note.) UNIFORM REMINDER—Elderwear is the only navy blue wear that is acceptable. Shirts, jackets, shoes, belts, etc., may be any brand and may be purchased anywhere. Don’t forget that belts must be worn with pants and shorts (except for Kindergarten), shirts must be tucked in, and no pull-over sweatshirts or hats are allowed. This has been the best year so far! Thank you, parents, for your help!!
TRAFFIC CIRCLE REMINDERSPlease be patient! Although we want to get you in and out quickly, safety is our primary concern. For the sake of our kids, observe the following:
