Classrooms & AcademicsOur CurriculumThe curriculum used at Gardena Valley Christian School exceeds state standards and is reviewed annually by the faculty and administration. Christian publishers, such as Bob Jones University Press, which is research-based and Biblically integrated, are selected when such materials are available and effective in the subject matter. The curriculum is developed and adapted according to a recognized curriculum guide. Technology and audio-visual materials also enhance the learning process. A large school library, located on the second floor, is available for student reading and research. Audio-visual, technology programs and library materials reviewed for educational and Christian values content. Departmentalized instruction begins in grade six in order to give students access to educational specialists in each academic field. Extra-curricular activities are offered in athletics, music, academic competitions, speech, drama, and journalism. All grades have Bible as part of the regular curriculum.
Who's In Our ClassroomsFind out more about Faculty & Staff Bible Curriculum and Chapel ServicesThe purpose of religious training at Gardena Valley Christian School is not to stress any one denomination, but rather to emphasize a strong Bible foundation and basic principles of Christian conduct and character. This concept is reflected in the curriculum used at each grade level. We teach that by His death and resurrection, Jesus made possible our salvation as well as forgiveness for our sins. Our prayer is that all of our students will accept Jesus as their Savior. Bible is considered an academic subject and is taught daily. Chapel services are held weekly by grade levels. At all times we expect the students' behavior to reflect the proper respect for God's house. Students will not be excused from chapel services. GVCS Library & Media CenterComputer Education
